12月25日，中老缅泰四国执法部门在老挝博胶省孟莫举行“守望-2024”联合打击湄公河流域违法犯罪活动演练，老挝博胶省副省长赛斋、博胶省军区司令通凯、金三角经济特区公安局局长阿努辛应邀出席。
据介绍，中老缅泰四方执法部门自2017年起启动“守望”系列联合演练，分别以禁毒、反恐、打击跨境犯罪等为主题，截至目前已成功开展8次。
本次演练以打击湄公河流域各类跨境违法犯罪为背景，设置机动拦截、水上查缉、水下打捞、水上追捕、陆地查缉等环节，全面展现四方执法部门团结协作，共同打击湄公河流域涉毒、偷渡、电诈、绑架等跨境违法犯罪活动和维护湄公河流域安全稳定的坚定信心和决心。
老挝金三角经济特区作为湄公河流域的重要节点，多年来积极主动融入区域安全维护工作，为中老缅泰湄公河流域执法安全合作机制提供坚实的本地支持。未来，特区将继续保持与周边国家执法力量的沟通与协作，以实际行动为湄公河流域的长治久安贡献力量。

On December25,law enforcement agencies from China,Laos,Myanmar,and Thailand conducted the"Watch-2024"joint exercise to combat illegal activities in the Mekong River Basin.The event was held in Muang Mom,Bokeo Province,Laos,and was attended by Sai Sai,Deputy Governor of Bokeo Province;Thongkhe,Commander of the Bokeo Military District;and Anousin,Chief of the Public Security Bureau of the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone.
Since its launch in2017,the"Watch"series of joint exercises among the four countries'law enforcement agencies has focused on themes such as drug control,counter-terrorism,and cross-border crime suppression.To date,eight successful exercises have been conducted.
This year's exercise was designed to combat various types of cross-border crimes in the Mekong River Basin.It included modules such as mobile interception,waterway inspections,underwater salvage,maritime pursuit,and land-based crackdowns.The exercise demonstrated the unity and cooperation among the four nations'law enforcement agencies,underscoring their firm resolve to jointly combat drug trafficking,illegal immigration,telecom fraud,kidnapping,and other cross-border crimes,as well as to maintain security and stability in the Mekong River Basin.
As a key node in the Mekong River Basin,the Laos Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone has actively participated in regional security maintenance efforts over the years,providing strong local support for the China-Laos-Myanmar-Thailand law enforcement cooperation mechanism.Moving forward,the zone will continue to strengthen communication and collaboration with law enforcement agencies in neighboring countries,contributing to the long-term peace and stability of the Mekong River Basin.

In2010,then-Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh signed Prime Ministerial Decree No.90,officially approving the establishment of the national-level Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone with an initial development period of99years.At the same time,the Golden Triangle SEZ Management Committee was established to oversee the economic development rights within the zone.
