外媒走进京东,京东全球化发展能否一路畅行?

(实习记者徐睿浛)近日,中国记协举办了走进京东的外媒活动,来自新加坡、日本、德国、瑞典、加拿大等20多家媒体代表参与其中,此次活动展示了京东多方面的发展情况,同时也暴露出一些挑战。

京东在技术驱动方面优势明显。其全自动化物流系统令人瞩目,WCS和WES系统协同机械臂、自动分拨车等,支撑着“自营24小时达”承诺,日均处理包裹超千万件,618大促履约率达99%。此外,还与电车企业合作,通过“京工柜”为车间车厂提供工业品仓储解决方案。

AI技术在京东的应用也有显著成果。Chat Rhino系统能生成数字人主播、营销文案与图片,降低30%直播成本,近三个月服务50万商家,支撑40%的代码由AI生成。但AI生成内容的真实性审核机制和多语种准确性问题引发关注,业内担忧缺乏严格把控可能引发跨文化传播风险。

全球化布局是京东的重要战略。其海外仓已覆盖4大洲19个国家,计划2025年翻倍,并推行“2-3日达”时效圈。2024年海外“黑五”订单量同比增长320%。不过,跨境业务也面临挑战,“售后易退”项目的商品回流处理流程未公开,“白手套”服务存在高破损率和客户资源稀缺问题,且应对方案未明确。

京东Mall体现了线上线下融合的策略。通过引入智能机器人表演、游戏本体验等,聚焦高体验需求品类,吸引年轻消费者,自营家电品牌销售额同比增长超50%。

然而,京东发展并非一帆风顺。高度依赖自动化可能导致系统故障时应急能力不足,国际贸易中的物流、法律、支付壁垒也影响“2-3日达”时效圈落地。京东虽表示会通过技术迭代与本地化合作应对,但具体路径尚待明确。此次活动让外界更全面了解京东的发展现状与挑战,未来其能否克服困难,在全球化道路上取得更大突破,值得关注。

Foreign Media Visit JD.com:Can JD.com’s Global Expansion Stay on Track?

Recently,the All-China Journalists Association organized a visit to JD.com for foreign media representatives.Over20media outlets from countries including Singapore,Japan,Germany,Sweden,and Canada participated in the event.The visit showcased JD.com’s multifaceted development while also revealing some of the challenges the company faces.

JD.com stands out with its technology-driven operations.Its fully automated logistics system is particularly impressive.The coordination of its WCS and WES systems with robotic arms and automated sorting vehicles supports its promise of"self-operated24-hour delivery."The company processes over10million packages daily,and during the618Shopping Festival,it achieved a fulfillment rate of99%.JD.com has also partnered with electric vehicle manufacturers,offering industrial storage solutions to factories through its“Jinggong Cabinets.”

The company’s application of AI has also yielded notable results.Its Chat Rhino system can generate virtual synthetic human, marketing copy,and images,cutting livestreaming costs by30%.In the past three months,it has served500,000merchants,with40%of its code now generated by AI.However,concerns have been raised about the authenticity verification of AI-generated content and the accuracy of multilingual outputs.Industry experts warn that without strict controls,such content could pose risks in cross-cultural communication.

Global expansion remains a core strategy for JD.com.Its overseas warehouses now span19countries across four continents,with plans to double this by2025.The company is promoting a“2-to-3-day delivery”network,and during the2024Black Friday season,its overseas order volume grew by320%year-over-year.However,cross-border operations face hurdles:the return logistics for its“Easy Returns”initiative lack transparency,its“white glove”service suffers from a high damage rate and limited client acquisition,and solutions to these problems remain undefined.

The JD Mall exemplifies the company’s online-offline integration strategy.By incorporating smart robot performances and gaming laptop showcases,JD Mall caters to experience-driven categories and attracts younger consumers.Sales of its self-operated home appliance brands have surged over50%year-over-year.

Nevertheless,JD.com’s growth is not without setbacks.Heavy reliance on automation may expose the company to risks if system failures occur and emergency responses fall short.Moreover,international logistics,legal,and payment barriers could hinder the rollout of its promised“2-to-3-day delivery”network.While JD.com claims it will tackle these issues through technological upgrades and local partnerships,detailed plans have yet to be announced.

This event provided foreign media with a deeper understanding of JD.com’s current progress and challenges.Whether the company can overcome these obstacles and achieve greater breakthroughs on the path to globalization remains to be seen.
