As Nordic winter clouds hang low over Stockholm and icy winds sweep through streets frozen at minus ten degrees, the footsteps of the Chinese Lunar New Year arrive quietly—bringing with them warmth from afar.
On February 13, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Sweden held its“Warm Spring Greetings·Celebrating Chinese New Year Together”care-package distribution ceremony.The Chargéd’ Affaires ad interim,Wan Degang, attended the event alongside more than70representatives from overseas Chinese associations,Chinese language schools,Chinese-language media, and Chinese students studying in Sweden.
Outside, snow still blanketed the city.Inside the embassy, spring had already arrived.
Chargéd’Affaires Wan extended New Year greetings and best wishes to Chinese nationals,students and scholars in Sweden,briefed them on China’s economic and social development in2025as well as the current state of China–Sweden relations,and encouraged the overseas Chinese community in Sweden to further leverage their unique role as a bridge between the two countries,drawing on the strengths of both cultures to contribute ideas and efforts to deepening bilateral friendship.He also urged Chinese students in Sweden to cultivate a strong sense of national responsibility and contemporary values,and to help write a new chapter of win-win cooperation between China and Sweden.

When the Spring Festival care packages were handed out,what people received was far more than holiday gifts—it was a tangible expression of connection across thousands of kilometers.This year’s packages included beautifully designed cultural couplets generously provided by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Henan Province.As the red paper unfolded and the scent of ink rose,phrases such as“Spring Fills the World”and“Blessings Reach All Corners”seemed to carry the spirit of China’s Central Plains directly to the shores of the Baltic Sea.
Many representatives held the couplets gently in their hands,their eyes shining.
“In minus-ten degrees Sweden,holding these couplets feels like stepping back into my hometown,”one community leader said softly.A principal from a Chinese language school shared,“Our students will better understand the meaning of Spring Festival when they see these.”A student representative,visibly moved,added:“Studying abroad can be lonely at times—but moments like this remind us that our motherland has never forgotten us.”

The atmosphere at the ceremony was warm and animated.Red gift packages glowed against the white snow outside,like winter plum blossoms in full bloom.People exchanged greetings,shared plans for the year ahead,and spoke of new ideas—from green technology partnerships to youth exchange programs,and from cultural festivals to deeper people-to-people engagement.

瑞典的大地被白雪包裹得像童话世界，斯德哥尔摩的街头在零下十度的寒风中显得格外清冽，中国农历春节的“马蹄声”，却已悄然走近。
2月13日，中国驻瑞典使馆举办“温暖迎春·共庆中国年”新春暖心包发放仪式。中国驻瑞典使馆临时代办万德刚出席仪式，与旅瑞侨团、华文学校、华文媒体负责人以及中国留学生代表等70余人相聚一堂。窗外白雪皑皑，馆内春意甚浓。
万代办向旅瑞侨胞和学生学者致以新春问候和祝福，介绍了2025年中国经济社会发展和中瑞关系情况，鼓励旅瑞侨胞进一步发挥融通中瑞、兼容并蓄之长，为深化拓展中瑞友好献计献力；勉励留瑞学子厚植家国情怀，涵养时代品格，助力谱写中瑞合作共赢新篇章。
