古龙坡会（又称十六坡）。清光绪二十一年（1895），广西柳州融水香粉寨劳村苗族首领贾老响，不堪清官府的横征暴敛，组织苗、瑶、壮等少数民族兄弟与清官兵于大坡一带展开激战，清兵大败。柳州团练使陈广马调集重兵再次围剿，贾老响战死沙场，死伤民族兄弟300多人，战死者集中埋在大坡上。为缅怀战死者，每逢正月十五，各村寨群众纷纷聚集到此举行祭奠活动。所以，历史上曾经有过大坡坡会（十五坡），但由于当地村寨小，容纳不下很多人在村寨住宿，各地赶坡的男女青年没有充裕的时间与心爱的人谈心，往往是高兴而来，扫兴而归。后来，经协多方商，改为农历十六在古龙寨举行坡会，故称之为古龙坡会。坡会当天，各村寨群众数万人从四面八方赶来，场面热闹非凡，也吸引了很多中外游客。

The Gulongpo Festival(also known as the Sixteenth Slope Festival)

In the21st year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty(1895),Jia Laoxiang,a Miao leader from Laocun Village in Xiangfenzhai,Rongshui County,Liuzhou,Guangxi,could no longer endure the Qing government's harsh taxes and exploitation.He organized Miao,Yao,and Zhuang ethnic groups to launch a fierce battle against Qing troops in the Dapo(Great Slope)area,where the Qing army suffered a major defeat.In response,Liuzhou's militia commander Chen Guangma mobilized a large force to suppress the uprising.Jia Laoxiang died in battle,along with over300ethnic fighters who were killed or wounded.Those who died were buried together on the Dapo slope.

To commemorate the fallen heroes,people from nearby villages would gather at the site on the15th day of the first lunar month for memorial ceremonies.This event became known as the Dapo Slope Festival(also called the Fifteenth Slope Festival).However,the local villages were too small to accommodate the influx of visitors.Young men and women traveling to the festival had little time to spend with their loved ones,often returning home disappointed despite arriving joyfully.

Eventually,after discussions among local leaders,the festival date was changed to the16th day of the lunar month and relocated to Gulong Village,hence the nameGulongpo Festival.On the day of the festival,tens of thousands of people from surrounding villages gather,creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere that also attracts many domestic and international tourists.
