On March16,2026,Zhou Limin, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Sweden,presented copies of his credentials to Margareta Lundquist,Director-General of the Protocol Department at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Zhou stated that it is a great honor to be appointed Chinese Ambassador to Sweden by President Xi Jinping.He noted that China and Sweden share profound traditional friendship and a sound foundation for cooperation.China stands ready to work with friends from all walks of life in Sweden to enhance mutual understanding and trust on the basis of mutual respect,equality and mutual benefit.He also expressed the desire to deepen practical cooperation in various fields including trade and investment,scientific and technological innovation,green transition and people-to-people exchanges,so as to promote the continuous sound development of bilateral relations and bring more benefits to both countries and their peoples.

Lundquist welcomed Ambassador Zhou to his new post,indicating that Sweden attaches great importance to developing relations with China and looks forward to continuous progress in bilateral exchanges and cooperation.She added that Sweden is ready to provide support and facilities for Ambassador Zhou to perform his duties.
