北欧时报：海外华媒聚焦徐州——从“煤灰”到“青山”的城市重生

Nordic Chinese Times:Xuzhou—From Coal Dust to Green Hills

——2026“海外华文媒体江苏行”首站探访纪实—First Stop of the2026“Jiangsu Tour for Overseas Chinese Media”

2026年5月12日，2026“海外华文媒体江苏行”活动在徐州正式拉开帷幕。来自全球15个国家的20位海外华文媒体代表齐聚这座淮海经济区中心城市，实地感受其深厚的历史文化底蕴与现代化发展的蓬勃脉动。

On May12,2026,the2026“Jiangsu Tour for Overseas Chinese Media”officially opened in Xuzhou.Twenty representatives from overseas Chinese-language media outlets across15countries gathered in this central city of the Huaihai Economic Zone to experience firsthand its rich historical heritage and dynamic modern transformation.

上世纪90年代，记者负笈北京时，往返京沪的列车几乎都会经过徐州。彼时，这座城市留给外界的印象，往往伴随着煤炭工业基地的喧嚣与灰暗。

然而，当记者此次乘坐高铁再次抵达徐州时，眼前焕然一新的城市景象，已彻底颠覆了昔日的刻板印象。

In the 1990s, when this reporter studied in Beijing,nearly every train traveling between Beijing and Shanghai passed through Xuzhou.At that time,the city was often associated with the noise and grayness of a traditional coal-mining industrial base.

Yet arriving again today by high-speed rail,the city’s renewed appearance completely overturned those long-held impressions.

当天上午，采访团首先登临云龙山。这里不仅山水秀丽，更因北宋文学家苏轼曾在徐州任职而增添了浓厚的人文气息。

沿着蜿蜒山道拾级而上，远山、湖水与现代城市交相辉映，一幅“城市与生态共生”的画卷徐徐展开。对于长期生活在北欧、熟悉绿色城市理念的海外媒体人而言，这样的景象尤为令人印象深刻。

That morning,the delegation first visited Yunlong Mountain,a scenic landmark closely associated with the renowned Song Dynasty poet and statesman Su Shi,who once served as a local official in Xuzhou.

Walking along the winding hillside paths,the journalists overlooked a landscape where mountains,lakes,and modern urban life blended harmoniously together—a vivid example of coexistence between city and ecology.For overseas Chinese media representatives long familiar with Nordic concepts of green urban living,the scene was particularly striking.

随后，采访团来到徐州博物馆。馆内珍藏的金缕玉衣、汉代兵马俑等文物，无声诉说着两汉文化的恢弘气象，也见证着徐州作为汉文化重镇的历史地位。

这种厚重而雄浑的历史气息，让不少海外媒体人感受到了一种不同于江南水乡柔美气质的中华文明风貌。

The delegation then visited the Xuzhou Museum.Treasured artifacts such as the jade burial suit sewn with gold thread and Han Dynasty terracotta warriors silently reflected the grandeur of Han civilization and Xuzhou’s historical importance as a cradle of Han culture.

The weight and majesty of this historical legacy revealed another dimension of Chinese civilization—distinct from the softer elegance often associated with the Jiangnan region south of the Yangtze River.

下午，采访团先后探访了戏马台与崔家大院。

在戏马台，楚霸王项羽的传奇故事仍令人遥想千年英雄气概；而在崔家大院，晋商文化的繁华遗韵与北方传统民居建筑之美，则令采访团赞叹不已。

In the afternoon,the group toured Xima Terrace and the Cui Family Mansion.

At Xima Terrace,the legendary figure Xiang Yu—the Hegemon-King of Western Chu—continued to evoke memories of heroism from more than two thousand years ago.At the Cui Family Mansion,the delegation admired the architectural elegance of northern Chinese residences and the lingering prosperity once associated with Shanxi merchants.

当晚，活动高潮出现在云龙湖夜游。

华灯初上，湖面波光潋滟，音乐喷泉与城市灯火交相辉映。面对眼前景致，苏轼名句不禁浮现脑海：

“水光潋滟晴方好，山色空蒙雨亦奇。”

虽原本描写杭州西湖，却也与今日徐州“一城青山半城湖”的意境不谋而合。

The highlight of the evening came during a night tour of Yunlong Lake.

As city lights illuminated the lakeshore,shimmering reflections danced across the water alongside music fountains and glowing skylines.The scene naturally brought to mind Su Shi’s famous verse:

“The brimming waves delight the eye on sunny days;The misty hills reveal rare beauty in rainy haze.”

Though originally written about Hangzhou’s West Lake,the lines seemed equally fitting for present-day Xuzhou—often described as“a city embraced by green hills and half a lake.”

对于长期关注欧洲社会的北欧媒体而言，徐州带来的感受尤为深刻。

在许多北欧民众的传统印象中，中国城市往往被简单理解为高楼林立的“钢筋森林”，或停留于历史想象中的“古老东方”。而徐州展现出的，则是一种更加立体而真实的城市气质——工业转型、生态修复与历史文脉，在这里自然交融。

For many Nordic observers,Xuzhou offered a striking contrast to long-held assumptions about Chinese cities.

In Northern Europe,China is often imagined either as a landscape of dense skyscrapers or as a civilization frozen in ancient history.Xuzhou,however,presented something far more nuanced:a city where industrial transformation,ecological restoration,and historical memory coexist naturally.

从“煤灰”到“青山”的城市转身，不仅展现了中国高质量发展的现实路径，也与北欧国家近年来持续关注的可持续发展与城市更新理念形成了深刻共鸣。

对于海外华文媒体而言，徐州不仅是一扇观察中国现代化进程的窗口，更让人看到，在高速发展的背后，越来越多中国城市正在重新寻找自然、文化与人文生活之间的平衡。

The city’s transformation from coal dust to green hills reflects not only China’s broader path toward high-quality development,but also resonates strongly with Nordic discussions on sustainability and urban renewal.

For overseas Chinese-language media,Xuzhou is more than a window into China’s modernization.It is also a reminder that behind the country’s rapid development,many Chinese cities are rediscovering the balance between nature,culture,and human life.
