6月4日，成都天府国际空港综合保税区（下文称天府国际综保区）展厅内，区位图、产业规划和口岸功能介绍吸引了不少海外媒体代表驻足拍摄、记录。美国《新世界时报》社长倪涛看着展厅内的规划图不禁感叹：“成都拥有了一个发展的新‘引擎’。”
当日，“2026海外华文媒体川渝行——聚焦成渝地区双城经济圈建设”联合参访活动走进成都东部新区。海外华文媒体代表们在开放平台与未来产业场景中，感受成都发展的新动能。
成都天府国际空港新城管委会综合处负责人符佳毅介绍，作为四川省首个空港型综合保税区，天府国际综保区位于成都东部新区国际空港经济区核心区域，毗邻成都天府国际机场，正依托航空枢纽优势，加快发展跨境电商、生物医药、航材贸易等特色产业。
“不同于沿海口岸城市，成都东部新区的开放优势更多体现在航空枢纽、综合保税区、产业承载空间和城市新区建设的叠加效应。”符佳毅说，目前，天府国际综保区已建成4.5万平方米的公共保税仓库、1.73万平方米的综合服务办公楼，即将启动建设0.5万平方米的进口高端食材冷库和1.5万平方米的GSP标准医药仓库。未来，天府国际综保区将继续通过与机场口岸功能区协同，推动口岸、保税、物流、仓储、企业服务等功能集成，为企业降低运营成本、提升通关效率、拓展国际市场提供支撑。
在海外华文媒体代表看来，内陆开放正在呈现新的方式。倪涛在接受中新网采访时表示，“过去，外界谈及中国对外开放，往往更容易想到沿海港口城市。”但随着航空枢纽、国际班列、综合保税区等不断完善，成都这样的中西部内陆城市也在快速融入全球产业链和供应链。
如果说天府国际综保区展示的是成都东部新区面向全球市场的开放通道，那么位于三岔湖畔的成都未来医学城，则呈现出新区面向未来产业的创新空间。来自美国明尼苏达州的《美国华兴报》社长程汝钊对成都未来医学城兴趣颇深。他介绍，自己住在明尼苏达州的医疗巷（Medical Alley）附近，那里是享誉全球的医疗器械集群。“我感觉这个环境很熟悉，能感受到成都目前正在‘筑巢引凤’，以吸引更多优质企业落户。”程汝钊希望未来成都的生物医疗产业能蓬勃发展，让未来医学城成为中国版的“医疗巷”。
成都未来医学城管理局工作人员伍豪介绍，这座以“创国家医学中心、建未来医学城”为目标的产业片区，正在围绕高性能医疗器械、高端医疗消费、前沿生物技术等方向布局。园区依托国家医学中心、天府锦城实验室等平台，推动临床医疗、科技研发、成果转化和产业集聚协同发展，致力于打造一座未来医学创新与探索前沿、医教研融合与转化典范的生命健康之城。
从天府国际综保区到未来医学城，海外华文媒体代表看到了成都东部新区发展的两个重要侧面：一面是面向全球市场的开放平台，一面是面向未来产业的创新空间，二者共同构成成都东部新区加快建设现代化产业体系的重要支撑。德国欧洲新侨网总编辑高翔表示，海外受众过去对成都的印象更多集中在熊猫、美食和休闲生活，此次参访让他看到成都开放创新的另一面，“开放创新的成都故事，值得被更多海外受众看见。”（完）
Overseas Chinese Media Visit Chengdu Eastern New Area to Experience New Drivers of Chengdu’s Development
On June4,the exhibition hall of the Chengdu Tianfu International Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone(hereinafter referred to as the Tianfu International CBZ)attracted considerable attention from overseas media representatives.Location maps,industrial development plans,and presentations on port functions prompted many visitors to stop,photograph,and take notes.Looking at the planning displays,Ni Tao,President of theNew World Timesin the United States,remarked with admiration,“Chengdu has gained a new engine for development.”
On the same day,participants in the“2026Overseas Chinese Media Sichuan-Chongqing Tour–Focusing on the Development of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle”visited Chengdu Eastern New Area.Through its open development platforms and emerging industrial landscapes,overseas Chinese media representatives witnessed firsthand the new momentum driving Chengdu’s growth.
Fu Jiayi,an official from the General Affairs Division of the Chengdu Tianfu International Airport New City Administrative Committee,explained that the Tianfu International CBZ,Sichuan Province’s first airport-oriented comprehensive bonded zone,is located in the core area of the International Airport Economic Zone within Chengdu Eastern New Area,adjacent to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport.Leveraging the advantages of the aviation hub,the zone is accelerating the development of cross-border e-commerce,biomedicine,aviation materials trade,and other specialized industries.
“Unlike coastal port cities,the openness of Chengdu Eastern New Area is reflected more in the combined advantages of an aviation hub,a comprehensive bonded zone,industrial development capacity,and the construction of a modern new city,”Fu said.He noted that the Tianfu International CBZ has already completed a45,000-square-meter public bonded warehouse and a17,300-square-meter integrated service office building.Construction is also set to begin on a5,000-square-meter cold-storage facility for imported premium food products and a15,000-square-meter GSP-standard pharmaceutical warehouse.In the future,the zone will continue to integrate port operations,bonded services,logistics,warehousing,and business support through close coordination with airport port-function areas,helping enterprises reduce operating costs,improve customs clearance efficiency,and expand into international markets.
In the eyes of overseas Chinese media representatives,inland China is developing new models of opening up to the world.Speaking with China News Service,Ni Tao observed,“In the past,when people talked about China’s opening-up,they usually thought of coastal port cities.”However,with the continuous improvement of aviation hubs,international freight rail services,and comprehensive bonded zones,inland cities in western and central China,such as Chengdu,are rapidly integrating into global industrial and supply chains.
If the Tianfu International CBZ represents Chengdu Eastern New Area’s gateway to global markets,then the Chengdu Future Medical City,located on the shores of Sancha Lake,showcases the area’s innovative vision for future industries.Cheng Ruzhao,President of theAmerican Huaxing Newsbased in Minnesota,expressed great interest in the project.He noted that he lives near Minnesota’s renowned Medical Alley,one of the world’s leading medical device clusters.
“The environment here feels very familiar,”Cheng said.“I can sense that Chengdu is building a nest to attract phoenixes—creating favorable conditions to attract high-quality enterprises.”He hopes that Chengdu’s biomedical industry will flourish and that Future Medical City will become China’s version of Medical Alley.
Wu Hao,a staff member of the Chengdu Future Medical City Administration,introduced the industrial zone’s vision of“Building a National Medical Center and Developing a Future Medical City.”The area is focusing on high-performance medical devices,premium healthcare services,and cutting-edge biotechnology.Supported by major platforms such as the National Medical Center and Tianfu Jincheng Laboratory,the park promotes coordinated development among clinical medicine,scientific research,technology commercialization,and industrial clustering.It aims to become a world-class hub for life sciences,pioneering medical innovation,and the integration of medical care,education,research,and industrial transformation.
From the Tianfu International CBZ to Future Medical City,overseas Chinese media representatives observed two key dimensions of Chengdu Eastern New Area’s development:an open platform connected to global markets and an innovation-driven ecosystem geared toward future industries.Together,these elements provide strong support for the area’s efforts to build a modern industrial system.
Gao Xiang,Editor-in-Chief of Germany’sEuropean Overseas Chinese News Network,noted that overseas audiences have traditionally associated Chengdu with pandas,cuisine,and a relaxed lifestyle.This visit,however,revealed another side of the city—one characterized by openness,innovation,and industrial vitality.
“The story of Chengdu’s openness and innovation deserves to be seen by more international audiences,”Gao said.
