3月9日，中央广播电视总台亚洲非洲地区语言节目中心举办“中国式现代化与非洲发展机遇”线上研讨会，来自坦桑尼亚、肯尼亚、乌干达、布隆迪、刚果（金）等东非国家主流媒体记者出席，共同探讨中国式现代化道路带给非洲国家的启示和机遇。

研讨会上，总台斯瓦希里语部坦桑尼亚籍评论员法迪里向与会人员介绍了中国式现代化的特点和内涵，指出作为中国式现代化的重要特征，和平发展与共同繁荣的理念也体现在习近平提出的全球安全倡议和全球发展倡议之中。

埃夫拉姆·巴赫姆是专程来华报道中国全国“两会”的坦桑尼亚国民传媒有限公司记者，他结合此次采访两会的经历，与非洲媒体同行们分享了对中国式现代化的理解以及中国式现代化对于非洲发展振兴的借鉴意义。他表示，中国式现代化在许多方面与西方的现代化有着根本不同。西方的现代化以个人主义为中心，而中国式现代化则以共同富裕为基础，不仅注重物质的发展，也注重文化的传承和道德的进步。

March9,2023，China Central Television(CCTV)successfully held an online seminar entitled"China's Modernization and Development Opportunities in Africa"on March9th.Journalists from mainstream media in East African countries,including Tanzania,Kenya,Uganda,Burundi,and the Democratic Republic of the Congo,attended the seminar to discuss the insights and opportunities that China's modernization can bring to African countries.
During the seminar,a Swahili-language commentator from CCTV's Tanzania branch,Fadhiri,introduced the characteristics and connotations of China's modernization,emphasizing that the concepts of peaceful development and shared prosperity,which are important features of China's modernization,are also reflected in Xi Jinping's proposals for global security and development.
Ephraim Bahemu,a journalist from the Tanzanian National Media Group who was in China to report on the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference,shared his understanding of China's modernization and its implications for African development.He noted that China's modernization differs fundamentally from Western modernization,which centers around individualism.China's modernization,on the other hand,is based on shared prosperity,with a focus not only on material development but also on cultural heritage and moral progress.
Eric Biegon,a senior journalist from the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation who has been reporting on China for a long time,highlighted the challenges and twists and turns that African countries have faced in their efforts to reduce poverty and modernize.He pointed out that China's modernization has expanded the path to modernization for developing countries and increased the options available.African countries should learn from China's experience and create their own unique modernization path that reflects African cultural norms and values.
