Recently, the 32nd China Yangling Agricultural High-Tech Fair (CAF) opened in Yangling, Shaanxi Province, China, under the theme “A New Future of Agriculture with New Quality Productive Forces”. The five-day event features a variety of activities, including exhibitions, forums, achievement releases, investment and trade exchanges, as well as competitions and awards.
This year’s fair focuses on innovation-driven development, food security, rural revitalization, and international agricultural exchange and cooperation. It aims to build a national-level platform for showcasing agricultural science and technology innovation achievements and a high-level open platform for international cooperation, fostering a new open and collaborative ecosystem for agricultural technological innovation.
In terms of exhibitions, the fair adopts an integrated online–offline format, combining indoor and outdoor venues, and linking domestic and international participants. It comprehensively showcases outstanding achievements by agricultural research institutions and agricultural enterprises from China and abroad in areas such as core seed sources, key agricultural machinery and equipment, agricultural water conservation, smart agriculture, and digital agriculture—demonstrating the New Quality Productive Forces-driving agricultural development. The exhibitions are divided into four sections: indoor exhibitions, farmfield exhibitions, ‘’cloud‘’ exhibitions and overseas exhibitions, all designed to deliver professional, scenario-based, and interactive showcases.
According to organizers, the farmfield exhibition focuses on the theme “A 365 Days Never-Ending Field Promotion Show.” Eleven centralized display zones and twelve demonstration and promotion sites have been established in the Yangling Demonstration Zone to conduct scenario-based, integrated, and full-industry-chain farmfield demonstrations. These exhibitions aim to deepen the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism industries—making them engaging and educational—while enabling participants to take away practical technologies and replicable models. The farmfield exhibition displays vividly present a new picture of Yangling’s agricultural science and technology achievements and their applications in demonstration and promotion.
The ‘’cloud‘’ exhibition emphasizes digital empowerment, expanding the use of digital technologies such as AI, VR, and AR in various aspects of the fair, including exhibitions, events, trades, services, and promotion. It provides domestic and international participants with online panoramic viewing, online matchmaking, and online exhibition-trading platforms, creating new highlights and innovative applications for digital showcases.
Founded in 1994, CAF has been successfully held for 31 consecutive years. To date, it has attracted more than 30,000 agricultural enterprises and scientific and educational institutions from 34 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across China and over 70 countries and regions worldwide. More than 35 million business representatives and visitors have participated, with over 190,000 projects and products exhibited. The fair has made significant contributions to gathering and showcasing global agricultural scientific and technological innovations, promoting the dissemination of practical agricultural technologies, accelerating the industrialization of agricultural science and technology achievements, and deepening international agricultural cooperation and exchange.
